The City of Florence bills all metered water &/or sewer customers monthly. Sewer charges on these bills are based on water consumption. Payment is due on the 15th of each month and bills are considered past due if not paid by that date. Bills not paid by the 15th will be assessed a $6.00 late fee. Any account that falls 60 days delinquent will be subject to service disconnection. Should an account fall 90 days delinquent, City of Florence staff will either lock the meter or pull the meter. A $75.00 fee is charged in these instances and must be paid in full along with any outstanding balance prior to reconnection of service.
If an account is disconnected, the bill must be paid in full plus a cut off penalty of $20.00 for City Residents and $30.00 for customers outside the City limits. Reconnection payments can be made at Florence City Center during business hours.
Returned checks subject the account holder to immediate disconnection. To restore service, the full amount of the check plus a $30.00 return check charge must be paid.
Delinquent Collection Policy
